Job Title: Instructional Designer
Location: Malvern, Pennsylvania
Type: Freelance / Contract

Great Instructional Designer opportunity to design high quality learning solutions and simulations for internal training and professional development. Will be working remotely. 

Instructional Designer Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with Learning Consultants, HR, and business partners to translate the client’s needs into comprehensive learning solutions
  • Consult with partners to determine the most appropriate strategy, methodologies and technologies to maximize the learning experience and impact
  • Lead the design and development of comprehensive learning experiences using established learning and development best practices and tools
  • Conduct needs assessment actions as appropriate for the identified learning need
  • Develop learning programs that focus on learner experience to drive behavior change (e.g., simulations, experiential learning opportunities, discussion forums, assessments, etc.)
  • Curate learning assets from internal and external sources to develop comprehensive learning experiences
  • Design related learning materials (e.g., instructor and participant materials, video scripts, job aids, reinforcement materials, evaluation criteria, etc.)
  • Leverage project management best practices to ensure learning projects are delivered according to scope documents, within budget, and by agreed upon timelines. This includes managing project scope and schedules, client updates, and project team progress
  • Actively engage in industry trends related to learning and development, performance consulting and instructional design, and incorporate them into learning solutions
  • Create learning measurement strategies and tools to determine impact of learning solutions
  • Consult with our learning operations team to ensure learning is delivered to crew in an easy, scalable way using current learning platforms
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned


Instructional Designer Requirements:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience. Advanced degree or course work in instructional design preferred
  • Minimum of three years of instructional design experience
  • Learning and development knowledge; expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design models, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Experience in the development and implementation of initiatives from strategy through to execution
  • Experience working with teams across locations; proven teamwork capabilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with relevant software, multimedia design and authoring tools such as 
    • Microsoft Office
    • Captivate
    • Adobe Connect
    • Camtasia
