Job Title: Account Director

Type: Freelance / Contract
Cella has an exciting opportunity for an Account Director at an award-winning, best-in-class in-house agency at a major pharma company. This full-service agency produces print, digital, augmented/virtual reality, and video assets. This position will be responsible for the development of ongoing business and will assist in identifying new business development efforts by executing on and ensuring the successful delivery of projects across multiple accounts of assigned clients. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative spirit and lead by example. They will be a savvy communicator and presenter, responsible for managing projects autonomously while simultaneously driving new business forward. This position will support client marketing, project strategy, project budgets, and assist in up-selling new products and services to existing clients. Success in this role will be defined by delivery of high quality creative output, building strategic client relationships, identifying opportunities to enhance existing business offerings, and working closely with our client’s creative teams.

In order to be considered, applicants must have pharma experience and be local to PA, NJ or NY. This will be a fully remote role, but will have to travel on-site on occasion, post-pandemic. 
Account Director Responsibilities: 
  • Establishes strong and trusted relationships with aligned clients from selected accounts
  • Manages accounts independently on a day-to-day basis
  • Partners with client to ensure strategic brand or departmental direction
  • Accountable for all SOW development
  • Reviews all major milestones for client deliverables prior to client review and shares in accountability
  • Upholds Agency quality standards in servicing clients
  • Understands the essential dynamics, strategies and drivers of clients’ business
  • Writes thorough and actionable creative briefs
  • Oversees operational performance of assigned accounts
  • Partners with internal teams to ensure successful execution of projects and budget management
  • Leads internal meetings (e.g. status meetings, job start-ups)
  • Leads internal teams to ensure project timelines are met, quality of work is high, communication is fluid with all parties, and that all members understand their roles
  • Collaborates with Creative and Strategic team members to identify opportunities

Account Director Experience:
  • 7+ years agency experience, in-house agency experience preferred
  • 5+ years pharma or healthcare experience preferred
  • 5+ years account management-related experience
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing directed toward both consumers and health professionals
  • In-depth knowledge of pharma and marketing communications strategies, regulatory environment, and healthcare provider organizations
  • Proven track record of developing and executing digital programs
