We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our client's dynamic team in Plano, TX!
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. This role requires a strong blend of business acumen and technical expertise to identify and solve complex business problems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage requirements throughout the development lifecycle, including scope management, elicitation, documentation, and validation.
- Lead process improvement, integration, functional architecture, data modeling, and technology design for large-scale cross-functional projects.
- Oversee Agile Project Management responsibilities, including sprint planning, review, tracking, daily stand-up meetings, sprint retrospectives, status reporting, backlog grooming, and managed services engagement.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and risks.
- Ensure quality delivery of various artifacts such as project charters, business cases, project plans, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, test plans, and technology design documents.
- Work with the UX team to ensure optimal user experience.
- Collaborate with data analysts and architects to ensure database designs align with information architecture and industry standards.
- Manage client relationships with senior stakeholders to prioritize system enhancements in JIRA.
- Coordinate with other system owners for upstream or downstream dependencies.
- Lead a team of developers and quality testers to maintain tactical applications.
- Support the production process for issue management and resolution.
- Conduct strategic technology project management and planning for a globally distributed team.
- Foster client relationships and stakeholder management for regulatory compliance intelligence and financial services applications.
- Develop training for business analysts in SDLC processes and the financial services domain.
- Address resource loading, staffing shortages, project scope, and risks.
- Ensure project execution adheres to budget, schedule, and scope.
- Elicit and validate requirements for wealth management and regulatory compliance intelligence applications.
- Create functional specifications for the technology team.
- Document business requirements, processes, technical designs, and prepare use cases and test cases.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Education: Bachelors (required)
- 3+ years of project work experience, with cloud experience and certifications being advantageous (AWS specifically preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Visio, Microsoft Project, and BPMN.
- Proficient in SQL and test script writing.
- Proficient in technical documentation and functional design documents.
- Proficient in JIRA or equivalent SDLC management tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development.
- Experience with Balsamiq or equivalent low-fidelity design tools.
- Knowledge of Clarity PPM, technical design documents, and functional specifications.
- 3+ years in a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) role.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly analytical mindset.
