Our global legal services client is looking for a Graphic Designer Lead to come in and be an integral member of the Creative Services team within their Brand & Communications Department.

In this role you will apply core design principles to complex, strategic projects ensuring all work is aligned to the firm's Brand and brand guidelines. This role is equally comfortable with responsive design (websites, email, social media, video/motion graphics) as they are for print.

Candidates will need to reside in the NYC area, as this is a full-time, hybrid position.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Leading multiple projects concurrently, delivering on time and maintaining a high standard for presentation, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Initiating project kickoffs, collecting, and codifying critical details; creating informed, impactful solutions; and articulating how the work answers the needs of the internal business partner.
  • Meeting with Graphic Designer Specialists to review, edit, and provide guidance for projects/presentations prior to sharing with the Art Director.
  • Facilitating the workflow and communication necessary to ensure deadlines are met from project inception to fruition.
  • Advising internal clients and other teams on how to leverage the brand guidelines, contributing to the guidelines, and developing templates and new brand asset styles.
  • Shepherding the extension and buildout of high-quality image asset libraries that appear in brand guidelines and, ultimately, all of the client's communications.
  • Working closely with colleagues in the PR, Digital Media, Video, Internal Communications, and Editorial Services teams as well as colleagues in Business Development, Recruiting, Attorney Development, among other areas.
  • Implement core design principles to strategic projects that align with brand standards and guidelines.
  • Design and present fresh concepts for digital and marketing materials, including microsites, web pages, social media, presentations, newsletters, brochures, etc.
  • Actively seek out new tools, processes, and design best practices to fold into design work and proactively share with team.
  • Lead discussions around expanding team's skillsets, new processes, and best practices.
  • Apply highly-focused attention to detail to every project.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Brand & Communications department on a range of creative assignments, often on tight deadlines.
  • Stay abreast of firm priorities and developments, as well as news and current events relevant to the firm and legal industry, and trends in the design field.
  • Promote effective work practices, work as a team member, show respect for co-workers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors
  • Skills:
    • Typography (7 years of experience is preferred)
    • Adobe Creative Suite (7 years of experience is preferred)
    • 2D (7 years of experience is preferred)
    • Print Design (7 years of experience is preferred)
    • Concepting (4 years of experience is preferred)
    • Figma (3 years of experience is preferred)
    • PowerPoint (5 years of experience is preferred)
