We are seeking extra support to touch every area of our client's media research landscape as a Media Research Manager!
As a Media Research Manager, you will be a mid-level researcher with a strong background in strategic research and strategy development. You will provide insights into current and future media trends, identify new initiatives and potential disruptors, and deliver market information to support strategic decision-making and growth. Additionally, you will contribute to both day-to-day and long-term cross-platform measurement projects.
This is a hybrid role in which candidates will spend Tuesday/Wednesday in office, and other days remote.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct strategic research and analysis to support programming and competitive landscape understanding.
- Utilize dashboard tools like Tableau and Power BI to create insightful visualizations.
- Use SQL for relational database management and analysis.
- Handle large data sets with proficiency in Excel.
- Provide insights on media trends and technological evolution relevant to BET’s audience.
- Collaborate closely with the scheduling team and office of the CEO.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- 5+ years of experience in a media research or strategy role, preferably at a cable network.
- Strong experience with SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Background in using Nielson tools and understanding media ratings.
- Ability to communicate complex media trends and insights effectively.
