Package Designer (Hybrid)

Location: Skillman, New Jersey
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $48 - 53 per hour

We are seeking a Packaging Designer who has experience with delivering packaging design, design leadership & rigorous collaboration, human centered design & research, vendor management & project management, as well as prototype development & QA for a leading skincare brand.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, conceptualization, design, and execution of innovative packaging projects from initial concept through to production, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
• Create prototypes and physical mock-ups to visualize and test packaging concepts, iterating based on feedback and feasibility.
• Ensure final designs meet quality standards and are ready for production, including reviewing proofs and ensuring color accuracy.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field is required (5-7yrs experience).
• Demonstrate strong visual, written and oral communications skills to execute project briefs.
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop...) - Adobe Suite / PPT / AI, Gen AI understanding.
• Graphic Design experience.
• Understand brand guidelines and create solutions that are on brand - Excellent typography skills and comprehension of grid systems.
