Our client is a large name in pharmaceuticals and they are seeking a Producer / Editor hybrid to join them on a contract basis (W2 and benefits eligible). This role will start remote but will need to be onsite in Kenilworth, NJ in the near future.

The Producer / Editor is responsible for planning, creating, and coordinating the production of short-form video content intended for distribution. They will act as editorial and production lead on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring the creation of compelling content, delivered on time and on budget. The Producer / Editor may be called upon to assist in vendor selection, budgeting, scheduling, production oversight, editorial, asset management and project wrap, while maintaining all records of projects.

Producer / Editor Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, produce and edit creative, engaging video pieces that tell a compelling story with the appropriate narrative arc for the project, brand and audience
- Partner with creative team members and other departments to ideate, brainstorm and develop creative around various campaigns and content marketing initiatives
- Project managing and implementing the production of short-form content, which could include spots, sizzle reels, GIF's, etc.
- Developing creative ideas, concepts, and treatments
- Editing existing or newly obtained footage
- Ensuring project documentation and content maintenance is accounted for including archiving all elements
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Transcode footage to appropriate formats
- Arrange audio recording sessions and/or audio mixes
- Source and book talent for on camera or voice overs
- Select stock assets (video and audio) and ensure proper license is maintained
- Demonstrate ability to multitask and to constantly track loose ends and report issues to the appropriate parties
- Ensure consistent visual branding compliance is being applied across all brands through video content
- Assist with production shoots as needed
Producer / Editor Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Demonstrates expert abilities in video editing, using Adobe Premiere
- Highly proficient in After Effects
- Is highly innovative and has excellent storytelling skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a high pressure, deadline driven environment
- Vast knowledge of creating video for digital release across all formats and codecs
- Deep and demonstrated knowledge of current social media technologies and platforms
- Must have excellent knowledge of the video, audio and graphic post-production techniques and process
- Ability to listen well, receive constructive criticism and incorporate other’s viewpoints into projects
- Advanced skills and expertise in location video production
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Producer / Editor Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years of professional level experience in short-form content or advertising.
- Agency experience is a plus.
- Must be able to share samples of work produced and edited.
