We are seeking a Product Development Specialist to join our client's team and contribute to the creation and execution of private-label stationery products!
As a Product Development Specialist, you will work closely with the Product Development Team to develop and manage the execution of stationery products, ensuring they meet the vision set by Merchants and Managers. Your role will involve analyzing sales data, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely shipment of trend-right products.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the development process of stationery products according to time and action deadlines.
- Collaborate with Merchants and Managers to ensure product vision and quality standards are met.
- Develop working relationships with Agents, Buyer Vendors, and inter-departmental associates.
- Review samples for design, quality, and compliance, providing technical direction for corrections as needed.
- Utilize Excel skills to create PivotTables, VLOOKUP, grids, and manipulate data for informed decision-making.
- Analyze sales reports to help create achievable programs with the Manager and extended team.
- Monitor delivery and production flow according to the Time & Action calendar.
- Resolve issues and ensure on-time delivery for all programs by working closely with the Product Development team, Agents, and Vendors.
- Regularly shop stores and competitors to stay updated on fashion trends, color directions, and value.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Degree in Fashion/Home Product Design, Business/Data Analysis, and/or Merchandising.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and data manipulation). Familiarity with PLM, Web PDM, and Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
- Highly organized with follow-through abilities and the capability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interpret and convey conceptual design ideas. Works well in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and act with integrity.
- Creative background preferred but not required.
