Publishing Specialist (Hybrid)

Location: Los Angeles, California (onsite Tues/Weds/Thurs)
Job Type: W2 hourly contract, 6-months
Compensation Range: $40-44/hr

Our client, a global investment management firm, is looking for a Publishing Specialist! As a Publishing Specialist on the Publishing Team, you will be responsible for ensuring materials-both standard and custom-are produced on time and without errors, and meet the legal and compliance requirements. You will play a key role in supporting clients and sales teams across the organization. You are an ideal candidate if you have 2+ years of experience in a corporate production-focused role, advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, intermediate Excel skills (especially in charting), and familiarity with Seismic. Experience in the financial or another regulated industry, along with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency in handling large datasets, is also highly valued.

*This is a production focused role. Less focused on creative aspects of the work.*

Responsibilities:

• Update data, formatting, layout, design and content for print, PDF and presentation materials based on established templates in PowerPoint using the Seismic platform.
• Analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends and variances and ensure accuracy in final products.
• Update and create charts, graphs, templates, and exhibits to be used in communications materials, websites, and/or presentations.
• Customizes materials based on client needs while still applying brand, style and data presentation guidelines.
• May prepare presentation and notes files for use in meetings and webcasts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-3 yrs experience working in a creative corporate environment.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of the following software: Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 (advanced), Microsoft Excel (intermediate; charting skills critical), Seismic (beginner/intermediate).
• Ideally has familiarity with financial concepts and the investment industry, including key data elements. Work in another highly regulated industry (pharma, legal) a plus.
