Cella has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Supervisor at an award-winning, best-in-class, in-house agency at a major pharmaceutical company. The Senior Account Supervisor will be responsible for the development of ongoing business and will assist in identifying new business development efforts by executing on and ensuring the successful delivery of projects across multiple accounts of assigned clients. This role will focus on support of our agency’s work with the research, data sciences, and medical education end of the business. The preferred candidate should have a scientific background and omnichannel knowledge of managing pre-launch promotional materials. 

This role requires a candidate to work EST and can travel to West Point, PA once a month. 

  • BA/BS - scientific/medical focus strongly preferred
  • 10+ years account management-related experience, within a pharmaceutical advertising agency
  • Medical education or high science client experience a must
  • Demonstrates excellent grasp of account management/client services best practices
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing that may be needed for scientists to communicate with fellow researchers or physicians
  • In-depth knowledge of pharma and marketing communications strategies, regulatory environment, and healthcare provider organizations
  • Proven track record of developing and executing digital and omnichannel programs
  • Client Management
    • Establishes strong and trusted relationships with aligned clients from selected accounts
    • Manages accounts independently on a day-to-day basis
    • Partners with client to ensure strategic brand or departmental direction
    • Accountable for all SOW development
    • Reviews all major milestones for client deliverables prior to client review and shares in accountability
    • Upholds agency-quality standards in servicing clients
    • Understands the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of clients’ business
    • Has working knowledge of pre-launch promotional materials creation
    • Writes thorough and actionable creative briefs as well as Client Contact Reports
    • Oversees operational performance of assigned accounts
  • Project Management
    • Understands key agency resources and brings them together to produce exceptional results
    • Facilitates ideas from development to presentation to execution
    • Ensures client satisfaction is achieved on all project deliverables
    • Sets priorities while handling multiple projects and delegates work appropriately
    • Manages client expectations and timelines
    • Partners with internal teams to ensure successful execution of projects and budget management
    • Works independently at leading and managing jobs within the creative-strategic development process
    • Ensures budgets and project estimates are accurate and appropriately represent required project hours
    • Monitors team hours on jobs and proactively escalates as appropriate if projects are heading off course or there is a change in scope
    • Leads internal meetings (e.g., status meetings, job start-ups)
    • Ensures the highest standards of quality control of client materials by evaluating creative work for consistency and accuracy and monitoring brand compliance
    • Keeps senior management briefed on account activities
  • Leadership
    • Inspires and motivates teams to over-deliver against expectations, resulting in high employee engagement and overall client satisfaction
    • Leads internal teams to ensure project timelines are met, quality of work is high, communication is fluid with all parties, and that all members understand their roles
    • Mentors junior team members
    • Commands internal and external leadership and can independently debate the strategy and the work with clients
    • Projects a professional, positive attitude toward peers, supervisors, team members, and clients
    • Fosters a positive team environment demonstrating respect for peers, supervisors, team members, and clients
    • Establishes credibility and maintains leadership image both internally and externally; conveys confidence without overpromising
    • Acts with a passion for creative excellence, consistently demonstrating strategically and creatively minded thinking
  • New Business Development
    • Partners with client account leads to grow our business with and bring greater value to the research and pre-launch promotional client accounts
    • Collaborates with creative and strategic team members to identify opportunities
    • Supports organic growth of existing client project work and up-selling appropriate opportunities
    • Identifies and wins new business opportunities within existing accounts
    • Maintains and improves client relationships and retention of current account relationships
    • May assist the Account Director or may independently develop and present capabilities, marketing, and tactical plans
