Compensation Range: $40 - 46 per hour
We are seeking a Senior Designer to collaborate with the Associate Creative Director, Art Director, and other team members to develop customer-first creative concepts across multiple channels. You will manage graphic design projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with brand identity and accessibility standards. This role involves working closely with marketing partners, presenting ideas to stakeholders, and using performance data to refine future campaigns. You will also stay updated on industry trends to recommend innovative design approaches and balance multiple projects within deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative ideas and concepts with the Associate Creative Director, Art Director, and other Designers and Copywriters, across omni-channel touchpoints with a customer-first focus.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the business, target audiences, and competitor activities while liaising with co-brand marketing partners to interpret creative briefs.
- Adhere to brand identity and accessibility standards, contributing to the evolution of visual identity while meeting American Express requirements.
- Manage graphic design and direction, overseeing projects from concept through completion.
- Assist with production requests, including image selection and reformatting for various channels.
- Revise and evolve creative based on feedback from internal stakeholders.
- Present creative ideas with business rationale to stakeholders, effectively communicating strategic intent while adhering to American Express guidelines.
- Balance multiple projects and deadlines, working closely with project managers to stay on track.
- Use performance data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and apply insights to future work.
- Stay updated on industry trends, especially in digital, email, and social, recommending innovative design approaches.
Qualifications:
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of experience and visual styles.
- At least 6 years of design experience, preferably in a design firm, advertising, or in-house creative department.
- Expertise in Adobe Suite; Figma experience is a plus.
- Experience with marketing objectives and creative solutions across various marketing channels, including email, banner ads, social, landing pages, and print collateral.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Portfolio with a focus on email and digital placements.
- Animation, HTML5 banner development, or video production experience is a plus.
- Experience supervising junior designers.
- Agency experience is advantageous.
- Experience in hospitality, loyalty programs, and/or financial industries is beneficial.
