Our client, a design-build firm with a focus on cybersecurity and communications, is looking for a Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity in Tysons Corner, VA! This large (but still growing!) organization has been a mainstay in the industry for the last 70 years with a diverse customer base that spans across the public & private sectors. This is an opportunity to join an established firm with unlimited growth potential!

*Must be willing to come onsite on an occasional, as-needed basis and maintain flexibility to come onsite for key projects*

Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic, integrated marketing communications campaign efforts for one of our client’s fastest growing divisions
  • Develop and implement market, geographic, and/or client-targeted marketing programs to support capturing new business and establishing long-term positioning
  • Support leadership to define market segmentation, pipeline opportunities, and growth priorities
  • Develop and maintain sales and marketing tools and training to support customer growth and attract talent. Including but not limited to:
- Print, digital, and multimedia marketing materials.
- Virtual and in-person client-, employee- and recruiting-focused trade shows and events.
- New business presentations and customer demonstrations  
  • Coach division managers on virtual demo and in-person customer event best practices.
  • Support market research and analysis to identify opportunities early in the business development lifecycle. 
  • Support marketing for division-focused recruiting initiatives. Ensure representation and alignment between division strategic priorities and corporate-wide marketing, branding, and communications channels, platforms, initiatives, and events to advance customer development and employee engagement.
  • Identify and coach division demonstration teams for the annual conference and other corporate-sponsored events. Coordinate customer engagement with the operations team to maximize client participation.
  • Develop new website content to promote the division as part of the overarching brand story.
  • Identify and establish partnership marketing initiatives
Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related degree
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications
  • Demonstrated expertise working with highly technical content and have the ability to tailor that
  • information for both lay and specialized audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership for results-driven marketing campaigns and client engagement programs
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns as an external or in-house consultant
  • Excellent written communications skills with mastery of AP Style guidelines
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and website content management systems
  • Experience with web analytics and media and social media distribution and tracking tools
  • Highly collaborative team player willing to jump in to support others on the team
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated market research experience
  • Ability to travel post-COVID-19 (10-20%)
  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Must have either federal contracting OR technology services experience
  • Must be a hands-on marketing/communications professional with writing samples that showcase skillset
  • Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and creatively solve problems
