Check out this amazing Vice President of Sales position! Our client, a national service company, is seeking a Vice President of Sales for a remote direct hire opportunity. This senior leader will be responsible for developing, standardizing and implementing sales processes at a local and national level.  The VP of Sales will be responsible for the recruiting, training and developing of their subordinate sales team as well as serve as the advisor to the regional operations team. This position will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer. Only candidates within the Eastern Time Zone will be considered for this role.

Vice President of Sales Responsibilities: 
  • Take responsibility for the performance of the sales organization including its local sales force, and inside sales team through the use of performance management and key performance indicators
  • Develops monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and plans in order to support the Company’s strategy and help it achieve its goals
  • Directs the implementation and execution of rigorous sales policies and practices;
  • Ensures communications are coordinated in a way that supports the operational plans and objectives as outlined by the Company’s Board of Directors, and the Executive Leadership team
  • Continually recommend and implement improvements to the Company and Region’s sales strategies in order to compete most effectively in the marketplace
  • Establish and support programs to most effectively integrate the go-to-market approaches of add-on acquisitions in order to increase sales at these companies
  • Analyze market and industry trends to assist in the determination of customer needs and pricing schedules
  • Know the industry and the competitors; monitor and evaluate the activities and services of the competition
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Establish sales objectives, accurate forecasting and develop annual sales budgets for each market; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Provide marketing strategies and direction to the operations teams
  • Closely monitor production of sales team members and make improvements to personnel as needed
  • Establish, enhance and monitor sales performance reporting dashboard and understand success drivers
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality

Vice President of Sales Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 year degree: MBA is a plus
  • Must have a strong background in services-selling and in winning business with State & Local government
  • 10+ years of demonstrated leadership and vision in managing sales teams for a major multi-site services or related company
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and to drive the business with a high sense of urgency
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, writing and presentation skills
  • Team and goal oriented
