Our corporate client in Ohio is looking for a Visual/User Interface Designer to come onboard their team for a long term, full time contract! This role requires a candidate who can work east coast hours and has their own home work station and equipment. This is a remote opportunity and must be local to east coast time in the US. The ideal candidate is responsible for understanding business and user requirements, creating user flows, and designing wireframes / prototypes that clearly articulate the desired end-user experience.

Visual/UI Designer Responsibilities:
- Based on project inputs, business requirements, user research, web analytics, etc, design the end-to-end user experience for a given project or feature
- Communicate intended user experience clearly through user flows, wireframes, storyboards, and other similar deliverables
- Advocate for user needs and usability best practices in conversations with leadership, stakeholders, and developers
- Work creatively within the design standards and development components that exist in order to reduce time-to-release
- Think critically about edge cases, error states, regression testing, and other factors that could introduce challenges to a project and proactively account for those issues in design
- Collaborate openly with visual designers, project managers, business analysts, UX researchers, developers, and stakeholders to understand a project’s shifting requirements and communicate the intended user experience
- Present work to stakeholders for feedback, clearly articulating why decisions were made and the advantages / disadvantages of various options
- Document revisions needed and be detail-oriented in making revisions
- Consult with development teams on proposed solutions to identify opportunities for lower-effort solutions
- Work at the intersection of best-possible user experience and fastest time-to-release
- Continuously ideate and align improvements
- Portfolio of work that demonstrates prior experience designing user experiences for web applications and expert application of best practices in interaction design
- 3-5 years of prior experience creating user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and other deliverables that define and communicate the intended user experience
- Comfort with presenting work to stakeholders and developers and ability to advocate for the UX decisions made
- Prior experience working in an agile scrum environment
- Prior experience working on customer loyalty portals and digital marketing initiatives
- Additional expertise in web accessibility, user research, SEO, and graphic design a plus
