The results are in! Cella surveyed talented professionals from across the industry who gave us their opinions about the process of seeking work, applying for employment, the interview process and what motivates them at work every day. 

This year, more than ever, these opinions reflect on what matters most to professionals as they develop their careers.

The 2023 Talent Survey showed us:

  • Safe and secure: Job stability and security emerge among the top three priorities for job seekers, surpassing the desire for an increase in compensation, compared to the previous year's results.

  • Find the remote: Remote work is still on the rise in 2023, with approximately 78% of respondents working remotely at least part of the time.

  • Really satisfying: A significant majority – 72% – of respondents expressed satisfaction with their current roles, indicating that employers will need to offer competitive compensation to both attract top talent and incentivize candidates to leave their current employers.

These takeaways can help job seekers, hiring managers and companies to zero in on what is most relevant for career choices and opportunities industry-wide.

The 2023 Creative, Marketing and Digital Talent Survey was completed by 1,500+ talent ranging from entry-level to senior-level experience within the creative, marketing and digital space. Talent who completed the survey work in various industries including, but not limited to, healthcare, manufacturing, banking/financial services, pharmaceuticals, technology and software.
