Company Joins 150 Other Firms on SIA’s 2021 List of Diversity Staffing Firms
ROCKVILLE, Md. – June 07, 2021 -- Cella, a nationwide staffing, consulting and managed solutions firm, announced it has been recognized as a leading diversity-owned company by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions. A certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) for the past 17 years, Cella is listed on SIA’s 2021 U.S. and Canada Diversity Staffing Firms List for the third year in a row.
Among the 151 firms on this year’s list, 89 reported they were women-owned and 81 cited Asian Indian, Asian Pacific, Black, Hispanic, Native American and/or LGBTQ ownership, with seven firms citing veteran ownership. In a press release about the awards, SIA president, Barry Asin said, “Diversity, equity and inclusion go beyond ownership, to commitment. As the conversation around DE&I takes a deeper hold in the industry, staffing clients are increasingly looking to suppliers to demonstrate their commitment to delivering diverse talent and to enhancing equity at work, both internally and externally.”
Cella is building on its heritage as a woman-owned and operated company, and has committed to embedding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) into all aspects of the company through its people, operations and marketplace in order to attract, engage and advance members of underrepresented groups. More than two-thirds of Cella employees are women, and it has committed to subcontractor diversity, as well as diverse recruiting by partnering with diverse job boards to advertise and post available positions. The company has also prioritized talent anonymity and use of pronouns, among other DEI initiatives. It has committed to a number of additional priorities in 2021 including further eliminating applicant screening and interview bias, as well as a supplier accountability audit.
